Even though it is not in stores yet, Apple is sure to introduce the iPhone 5 in the near future. With the passing of Steve Jobs at the helm of Apple, all eyes are looking toward the company to see if they can sustain their meteoric rise to the forefront of mobile future technology.
What to Expect from the iPhone 5
While not unveiled yet, based on pre-launch leaks from Apple, it is expected that the iPhone 5 will look very similar to the current version of the smart phone. The newest version of the iPhone, the iPhone 4, is a small upgrade from the previous iPhone. It holds the same chip found in the iPad 2 and it has an 8 megapixel camera. It is expected that the iPhone 5 will be a larger upgrade from the iPhone 4 and have even better camera resolution and connectivity capabilities.

Voice recognition is also expected to play a large role in iPhone 5 features. The iPhone 4 introduced voice recognition technology as a new feature and it allows you to hear new text messages and translates voice messages and instructions into text messages. Other voice recognition features include the ability to tell you your schedule and provide vocal gps guidance.
It is also expected that Apple will expand the cell phone carriers available with the new iPhone 5. With the iPhone 4, they expanded to Sprint as a carrier for iPhone, eliminating the necessity to use AT&T or Verizon as exclusive cell phone carriers.
iCloud
iCloud is another new technology that was initially introduced with the iPhone 4. It is anticipated that when the iPhone 5 is introduced, that iCloud technology will expand in importance.
iCloud technology allows you to utilize all of your Apple products and synch them together so that they work seamlessly. If you are reading a book on your iPad, for example, you can save your stopping place with iCloud and be able to pick right up where you left off on your Mac or iPhone. It is anticipated that iCloud storage availability will continue to move to the forefront in iPhone 5 applications.
Also expect that the iPhone 5 will have a multitude of apps available as app developers get on-board with the coming launch of the new smart phone. Current apps will likely continue to be available and useful with the new smart phone, but apps will continue to take advantage of iCloud technology and with new developer creativity.
